Welcome to music at Swift Creek Elementary School! I’m excited to be starting my 18th year of teaching with WCPSS and my fourth year as a Swift Creek Cougar. My husband, Jay, and I live in Apex with our daughter, two sons, and our dog, Bella. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, crocheting, everything Snoopy, and spending time with friends and family. On Sundays, I lead the band "Daybreak" at the contemporary service at Sunrise United Methodist Church in Holly Springs. Originally from West Virginia and the D.C. metro area, I’m a proud fan of the Washington Capitals Hockey Team.
I love collaborating with my colleagues to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. My classroom is always buzzing with singing, instrument playing, and movement-based activities. There’s always something exciting happening in music! I look forward to getting to know you this year and can’t wait to make it the best year yet!

Hey Swifties! My name is Beth Pope and this is my second year as Swift Creek's media specialist. I am a former newspaper reporter who switched careers to follow my passion for information and digital literacy. This is now my fourth year teaching in Wake County and I have been so privileged to work with the greatest students on their journeys to becoming lifelong readers! I recently married my wonderful husband Nate and we live in Garner with our two cats, Hazel and Ellie. Outside of school, you'll find me reading, binge-watching Netflix or picking up a new crafting hobby. I can't wait to continue growing with the Swift Creek community!

This is my 26th year teaching Elementary PE and my 1st year at Swift Creek. I am married to my wife of 33 years, Alison, and we have two children, Will and Foster. I was born in Wilson, NC, but was raised in Webster, NC, near WCU and Cherokee. I grew up competing in baseball and wrestling, but learned gymnastics in college. I've since worked at Triangle YMCA for 8 years and been a jump rope coach for 32 years. When I'm not at school, you'll find me hiking, climbing, biking, exercising, reading, or enjoying puzzles, board games, and movies.

My name is Jennifer McIntyre and this is my seventh year at Swift Creek.
My family lives in Garner and I am delighted for the shorter commute this year. My husband is retired from NCDOT. We have three daughters. The oldest is an APP graduate and working in Durham. Our second daughter is a Senior at APP, and our third is a Sophomore at South Garner. We have an active German Short-haired Pointer named Piper, and two guinea pigs--Edmond and Cookie.
