African Student Association
The African Student Association will be a safe place for African students at Wakefield (and anyone else who appreciates Africa), where we can discuss the many cultures in Africa and enjoy socializing together. At our meetings, we will have many discussions about how Africans are treated in society, our cultures, and sometimes we will bring different foods to try. We would also like to plan a yearly African Night, which will be open to the public, where we will showcase dances, and songs, and food from the different African countries.

Board Game Club
Board Game Club is about coming together to enjoy time disconnected from the internet and make new friends. We learn game strategies, build structure, and relax after a long day. We benefit the school by giving the students a mental break and educating people on the importance of disconnected fun. We will be playing board games, card games, mancala, marbles, puzzles, and so much more! We will also prevent unnecessary waste in our community by accepting the donation of unwanted board games. Our goal is to bring people together and strengthen student's mental health.

Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)
DECA or the Distributive Education Clubs of America is a leadership and entrepreneurship club that specializes in finance, hospitality and management. DECA is a national club which gives students hands on experience by engaging in realistic business scenarios and competing with other students from across the country. This club also fosters our academic and creative minds while promoting communication and teamwork as the club researches and creates presentations. Travelling to competitions also allows us to expand our network and meet helpful and influential people for our career paths. DECA sets up challenges such as Lead4Change where teams complete and submit a community service project after finishing a series of lessons about 21st Century Skills, or Social Impact Leader of Tomorrow where teams create a marketing idea for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Four-member teams then develop a creative fundraising campaign with NPCF branding, including a social media component and video. These challenges are taken on by the club and brought to conventions to compete with other chapters.

Dungeons and Dragons
Dungeons and Dragons is a multiplayer tabletop board game that runs off of player imagination and the roll of a dice. Newcomers are welcome! D&D is not limited by your experience but your imagination and participation. All you need is creativity, paper, dice and a good attitude. The club meets after school on the 2nd, and 4th Wednesdays of the month in the Library Media Center.

One Love Club
One Love works to educate young people about the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, empowering them to identify and avoid abuse and to learn to love better. Our club will focus on raising awareness of domestic abuse and how to detect it in our community. We will follow the one love club guided lessons and work on any projects that they ask. This could include making posters, being a part of rallies or fundraisers, or just learning more.

Operation Smile
Operation Smile helps to deliver safe surgery for cleft palates where it's most needed. The majority of these children’s families are unable to receive the surgery and comprehensive care they need because it’s too costly, too far away from their homes, of inadequate quality, or not available at all. Operation Smile helps provide surgery and resources to these families! We have the common goal of raising $480 to pay for 2 cleft palate surgeries. This money will be raised through various fundraising events throughout the year.

Pickleball Club
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. It is a game that is appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. Meetings will be biweekly / monthly at the outdoor basketball courts, dependent on the weather. The Science Olympiad team is a group of students who are interested in taking their classroom knowledge to the next level. We prepare for 1-2 tournaments in the spring that are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of different hands-on, interactive, challenging and inquiry-based events that are well balanced between the various disciplines of biology, earth science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, engineering and technology.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD MISSION
Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing male, female and minority interest in science, creating a technologically-literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers. These goals are achieved by participating in Science Olympiad tournaments and non-competitive events, incorporating Science Olympiad into classroom curriculum and attending teacher training institutes.
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD GOALS
To create a passion for learning science by supporting elementary and secondary Science Olympiad tournaments at building, district, county, state and national levels with an emphasis on teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

The Stock Market Club of Wakefield is designed to engage students with an interest in business and finance by providing practical experience in stock market investing through the Stock Market Game platform (https://www.stockmarketgame.org/). Our purpose is to enhance students' financial literacy and understanding of economic principles. The goals include offering interactive learning experiences, building a community of finance enthusiasts, and improving students' saving and investing habits. The club's benefits to the school community include promoting better financial decision-making and contributing to students' overall academic and personal development. Proposed activities involve students signing up at the first meeting and then managing virtual investments throughout the year on the stock market game website, competing against peers both within the club and from other schools for opportunities to win a $100.00 cash prize and a trophy. This initiative aims to provide valuable financial education and create a supportive environment for students to explore and deepen their knowledge of the stock market.

The Yearbook is created as a year long class at Wakefield. For students interested, they must apply and be interviewed in the Spring for the next school year. This is a challenging and creative class building the school's yearbook and documenting through photography all the events at Wakefield.(Class not a club)Advisor: Christina Bradford -
Zine
The purpose of this club is to help promote art and literature at Wakefield High School. The Zine’s vision is to enable members of the club, and in a wider sense, school, with a common interest in the arts and journalism, to share their work, amplify their and others’ voices, and help foster a future in journalism and the arts. Our mission is to bring everyone together and create an environment where students can express their creativity. The goal is to create a magazine with student created artwork, creative writing, and digital art.
