I am so excited to open another school year as the Assistant Principal of this amazing school!  I am a passionate school administrator that truly values meaningful relationships that will support all students.

I began my teaching career in Pittsburgh, PA and relocated to the Raleigh area in 2008.  I’ve spent the last 16 years serving as both a teacher and an Assistant Principal in this wonderful school district. As a leader, it's my priority to center my work around ensuring ALL YMES students are supported and provided rigorous instruction and high quality learning each day.  

Currently, I live in Apex with my dog Buddy.  He’s a lovable, yet semi-annoying Cairn Terrier whom you will find that I talk about a lot!  I’m the oldest of five and the only girl. I'm fortunate to have my family relatively close by, between North Carolina and Virginia. Some of my favorite things to do are to spend time with them.  I enjoy watching sports and being active.  Pitt above everything, Duke over UNC, and Let's Go Steelers!

I couldn’t be happier to continue working alongside the Yates Mill family and am committed to doing what’s best for kids.  In the words of the great Rita Person, “Every child deserves a champion, an adult that will never give up on them.”  I strive to live up to those words every day for our students and am proud to serve such a wonderful community.

This year is going to be exciting! Get ready as we strive to bring our school mission to life and ensure that all students receive the education they deserve. Together, we can do anything! 2024-2025 is going to be an amazing year!
