I'm Stephanie Atwell, an Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) teacher. I only ever wanted to be a teacher and, after graduating from high school in Eastern North Carolina as Valedictorian, I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.

I earned my K-6 Elementary Education certification and bachelor's degree in English from Meredith College. I'm currently in graduate school at East Carolina University to get my Master of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus in Gifted and Talented Education.

I love quality time with my three children (my daughter is a 3rd grader at LPES), travelling with my family, Anna Maria Island, historical fiction novels, gardening, crafting, party planning, and teaching! I'm originally from Florida, but I also lived in Washington before moving to New Bern, N.C. Apex has been my home for the past 20 years.
