I am Ms. Charelle Lovett, the Principal of Laurel Park Elementary. It is a privilege to work alongside such talented students, dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. As a Raleigh native and a proud product of Wake County Public Schools, I truly embody the saying "bloom where you are planted." My career in this district has been a journey of growth and dedication, starting as an instructional assistant and progressing through roles as a middle school math and social studies teacher, and instructional facilitator, before stepping into school leadership.

Laurel Park Elementary holds a special place in my heart, thanks to its strong and vibrant community. My goal is to foster a physically and emotionally safe environment for everyone. I look forward to working as partners in education with all of our Laurel Park families to ensure your child’s success!

Fun facts about Ms. Lovett: I am of West Indian ancestry -- my father was born in Antigua and grew up in St. Thomas. I studied abroad in Australia for 6 months during my junior year of high school. I love bright colors and patterns, which I showcase with my wardrobe and home design. I have a slight addiction to Target. :)
