Data Manager

Mrs. Bodette has been part of the Powell Elementary community in various roles since 2010 and officially joined the staff in 2022. Originally from Ohio, she and her family moved to North Carolina in 2009 and have been proud to call Powell home ever since.

A dedicated parent and team member, Mrs. Bodette has four children—two Powell alumni and one currently in 5th grade. Her connection to the school runs deep, and she loves being in the building each day, supporting students and staff alike.

As Powell’s Data Manager, Mrs. Bodette plays a key role in maintaining accurate student records and ensuring the smooth operation of the front office. Outside of school, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Receptionist

Ms. Kearney has been a valued member of the Powell Elementary family since 2012. A Raleigh native, she is the proud mother of three sons and has deep roots in the local community.

After graduating from high school in Raleigh, Ms. Kearney earned her Early Childcare Credentials I and II, as well as her Administrative Credential I, from Wake Tech Community College. She brings over 14 years of experience working in early childhood education, which has given her a strong foundation in creating welcoming and supportive environments for students and families.

In addition to her work in education, Ms. Kearney expanded her skills by attending Miller-Motte College, where she earned her cosmetology license. Her warmth, professionalism, and dedication make her a wonderful first point of contact for everyone who enters Powell.

Lead Secretary/Bookkeeper

Originally from Greenville, NC, Ms. Williams moved to Raleigh in 2014 and brought with her a strong background in administration and service. She spent 15 years working at East Carolina University before joining the Wake County Public School System in 2014.

Ms. Williams holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting from Wake Tech Community College and became a proud member of the Powell Elementary team in 2023. As Lead Secretary, she is a vital part of the front office team, helping keep daily operations running smoothly and supporting students, staff, and families with warmth and professionalism.

Outside of school, Ms. Williams enjoys spending time with her adult daughter, her beloved fur baby, and baking delicious treats. She is also the proud owner of Dee’s Sweets and Treats LLC.

Her favorite quote, from legendary coach Kay Yow, inspires her daily: “When life kicks you, let it kick you forward.”
