Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy (WYWLA) is a unique setting, offering a magnet, application, and Early College program. WYWLA does not fit the needs and interests of all students. As a magnet school, we attract students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in our accelerated and specialized curriculum, as well as our unique all-girls learning environment. Admission to WYWLA requires meeting specific entry requirements, ensuring that students joining are committed to embracing the values and educational philosophy of the Leadership Academy. The magnet/Early College application process is designed to select young women who demonstrate a strong passion for leadership and personal growth. WYWLA also provides an Early College program, enabling students to earn college credits while still in high school, preparing them for higher education and future success. Students must demonstrate consistent academic progress in order to move into the Early College Program. The NC Early College Program requires students to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to enter and continue in Early College.

To continue benefiting from these exceptional opportunities, students must maintain the necessary requirements throughout their enrollment, fostering a dedicated and motivated learning community at Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy.

We understand that some families may choose to return to their middle or high school base for a variety of reasons. Families can request a return to base during the Spring Transfer window. After the transfer window, families may request a hardship transfer.

All transfers are requested through WCPSS on the Student Assignment Page.
