I'm so excited for another year at Apex Elementary School! I was born and raised in Northern New Jersey and discovered the beauty of North Carolina when I attended college at UNCW. I received my BA in Elementary Education from UNCW and joined WCPSS once I graduated. I've been a WCPSS employee since August 2000 and have worked at Reedy Creek Elementary, Yates Mill Elementary, and Apex Elementary. In 2013, I received my Reading Specialist Certification. During my teaching career I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade (ELA/SS), Intervention, and I have been a Literacy Coach.

When I'm not teaching, you'll find me spending time with my husband, Howard, and our three children. We enjoy traveling, visiting the beach, attending baseball tournaments for our middle child, and shuffling the kiddos from one activity to the next. My husband is an Apex Firefighter so we are very attached to our Apex Community. In the event that I find some quiet, solo time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and going to the movies.
