I am excited for another great year at Apex Elementary as an Intervention Teacher and the Intervention Team Facilitator (ITF)!
I am originally from Buffalo, NY. After graduating high school, I attended the State University of New York at Fredonia, where I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. Upon graduating, I moved to North Carolina and started my career in Wake County. I was a reading intervention and special education teacher at Hilburn Elementary before moving to Sycamore Creek in its inaugural year as a special education cross categorical teacher. During my time there, I served on the PBIS Team and earned my master’s degree at NC State in special education with a concentration in behavioral disorders. After staying home to raise my two children, I returned to teaching at Apex Elementary in 2020.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time at the lake with my family, playing fetch with our Boston Terrier, Boss Man, and finishing DIY projects around the house.
I look forward to another great year working with families, teachers, and students to help our school community grow, feel supported, and succeed.
