    Early Learning Center Weekly Family Newsletter

    Dear ELC Families,

    We are continuing to grow and learn here at the ELC! As we approach the end of an amazing school year, we are excited to share some important partnership opportunities with you:

     Friday, April 25 – Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences
    Come meet with your child’s teacher to learn more about their progress and growth this year.
    If you have not signed up for a conference with your child's teacher, please reach out to them before Friday.
    We can't wait to celebrate all the milestones your child has achieved!


     Friday, May 9 – Family School Partnership (FSP) Day: ELC Family Fun Day at the Park!
    Join us for a day filled with laughter, games, and fun from 10 AM to 12 PM!
    Please register using the link provided: https://forms.gle/gpCisSX9o8TgMW988. 
    We need an accurate headcount to plan for food and activities, so be sure to sign up!
    Reminder: There will be no school for students on this day.


    🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week – May 5-9
    We have some exciting surprises planned for our wonderful teachers — and we need your help!
    We are organizing a Surprise Shopping Day where each teacher will receive a grab bag and will be able to "shop" for classroom supplies.
    Families can support this effort by donating supplies!
    The Donation Box will be available from Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 2 during arrival, dismissal, and in the front office.
    Please remember this is a surprise, so we will be discreet!

    Community Events

     Letterland Days at Pullen Park – May 5 & 8
    Our annual Letterland Days at Pullen Park is an exciting, interactive event where young learners experience the world of Letterland—an engaging phonics program that turns letters into characters with stories, songs, and hands-on activities!
    Join us on May 5 and May 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pullen Park to meet Letterland characters and participate in arts, crafts, and literacy activities!
    Admission into the park is free, and ride tickets are $2.

     Smart Start Block Party – May 17, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
    Come out to the Smart Start Block Party on May 17 at Roberts Park (1300 E. Martin St., Raleigh) for a day of fun, community spirit, and free resources!
    Enjoy free food trucksfree diapers, and free food boxes!
    There will be bounce houses, a sensory calming zoneperformances, and much more!
    This is a great event for families, so be sure to join us!
