Hello! My name is Julia Seamans, and I am so excited to be a 5th-grade teacher at Yates Mill! This is my 6^th year teaching, and I have taught 4^th and 5^th grade. This is my 1^st year at Yates Mill, and I'm so excited to join this community! I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University. (Go Dukes!) My favorite part about teaching is making learning fun! I enjoy helping students feel empowered and become problem solvers. I love spending time with my family, chocolate chip cookies, traveling, and my cat, Houston. When I'm not teaching, I am likely exploring a greenway trail, attending a concert, or reading a good book.
