Bulldog Blast - 1/2/2026

Greetings Bulldog Families and Happy New Year!  

I hope everyone had a restful, joyful, and warm winter break – we are excited to welcome all of our students back to campus on Monday 1/5/26. 

Moving forward, I will be using this format for my school newsletters, as the previous platform (SMORE) is no longer supported by the district due to updated security and technology requirements. I may eventually switch to another platform but am searching for one that fits my needs for creating a polished newsletter.

This email has important information on upcoming events (STEAM Night on January 15th), opportunities (Single Subject Acceleration), and processes (Remote Learning in the event of inclement weather). As always, I appreciate your partnership and support!

January 15th – STEAM Night – An Amazing Race: Hilburn vs. York!  A STEAM night like NO OTHER! Form a team (family or friends), solve clues, and complete mini-STEAM challenges as you RACE to be among the first teams to finish THE AMAZING STEAM RACE. January 15 6:00-7:30 at Hilburn Academy. FREE FUN FOR ALL AGES! This is a Hilburn vs. York event, and we hope to see EVERYONE there! It is going to be...well... AMAZING!

Remote Learning - update

Here is a letter from me on how remote learning will look at York if we have another school cancellation and that day is indicated as a “remote learning day” by our superintendent (versus using a “banked” day as happened in December).
