Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM)

  •

Credit by Demonstrated Mastery (CDM) is the statewide process by which students may earn credit for select high school courses by demonstrating mastery of course content without course enrollment or seat time. The CDM process requires students to complete a two-phase assessment: Phase One includes a standard examination (which shall be the EOC where applicable), a locally developed assessment, or other district approved assessments. Phase Two includes an artifact, portfolio, or assessment which requires the student to apply knowledge and skills relevant to the content standards.
Interested students must attend a CDM information session during Connectivity on November 22 or December 13 and submit the CDM Application and Agreement to Mr. Williams, Assistant Principal of Instruction, no later than December 16, 2024. The CDM Testing Window will run from February 18 - March 3, 2025. Additional questions should be directed to cdmquestions@wcpss.net or dwilliams7@wcpss.net.
