Ms. Dana Clark (2nd over)

Hi y’all! I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. My name is Dana Clark and this is my 18th year teaching but my first year at Baucom. I’m originally from Texas but went to college in Arkansas where I got my undergraduate degree and my masters degree in Reading from Harding University. My husband Cam is a football coach at Duke and we have two kids, a boy Hutch (10) and a girl Davis (7) and of course our chocolate lab Boss. We love going to the beach and spending time with our families.

Ms. Donna Wood (3rd over)

Hello!  My name is Donna Wood. This will be my 24th year of teaching and first full year at Baucom. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Elementary Literacy. I earned my National Board Certification in 2018. I live in Apex with my husband, Tim and our dog and cat. We have three adult sons and a new, 3 month old grandson, baby Thomas. I love spending time with my family and exploring North Carolina.

Ms. Diana Hosterman (4th over): 

I am so excited to begin my 6th year in 2nd grade at Baucom, but my 18th year overall!  I love this school and community so much! My husband, Mike (Coach), and I love working together and bringing our daughters to Baucom!  I grew up in East Palestine, Ohio and attended Youngstown State University. I started my teaching career in Ohio and earned my Masters in reading from YSU.  I am so happy to now call Apex my home. I live in Apex with my husband, and my daughters, Joy (10), Josie (7), June (3) and our new puppy, Tubby! I love going to the beach and spending time with my family. I’m thrilled to start another year in our beautiful new school!

I am originally from Michigan. My husband and I have 5 kids together. I've been teaching for 18 years. I love to spend time with my family, friends  and my two dogs Bella and Harley.

Ms. Susan Hunt (6th over):

Hi! I am Susan Hunt and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year.  I have been teaching at Baucom for 26 years.  It is such a special place and I love the family feel. I graduated from Meredith College in December 1998 and went to Millbrook High School in Raleigh.  I am an avid swimmer and as a side job I teach swim lessons.  I live in Apex with my 7 pound pup, Molly.  I go to the beach often as my parents live in Ocean Isle.

Ms. Elizabeth Frost (7th over):

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Frost. This will be my 16th year teaching and 6th year at Baucom. I grew up in Rochester, New York and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I earned my National Board Certification in 2021 and I will be renewing my certification this year. I love teaching reading and helping my students find a passion for books. I live in Apex with my husband, Martin, and two kids, Dylan and Graham. I enjoy cooking, exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family. We are always looking for our next big adventure.

Ms. Trinity Evans (8th over)

Hello! My name is Trinity Evans, and I’m thrilled to begin my teaching career with 2nd grade students this year. Originally from the Outer Banks and Virginia, I recently moved to the Raleigh area after graduating from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) in May 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at ECSU, and I look forward to graduating in May 2025.

This is my second year working in the school system, having previously served as a Pre-K Assistant. I come from a big family with four sisters and two brothers, which has always inspired my love for working with children. During my time at ECSU, I was an active member of the bowling team and had the honor of being team captain for three years. Outside of teaching, I love cooking, traveling, staying active, and enjoying music. I also have a background in basketball and track. I’m excited to bring my passion for education, energy, and love for learning into the classroom. I look forward to partnering with your family to make this a fantastic year of growth and discovery!
