Ms. Dana Clark

Hi y’all! I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. My name is Dana Clark and this is my 19th  year teaching but my 2nd year at Baucom. I’m originally from Texas but went to college in Arkansas where I got my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development and my masters degree in Reading as a certified Reading Specialist from Harding University. My husband Cam is a football coach at Duke (Go Blue Devils!) and we have two kids, a boy Hutch (11) and a girl Davis (8) and of course our chocolate lab Boss. We love going to the beach and spending time with our families. I can’t wait to spend this year getting to know my classes, it’s going to be a wonderful year!!!

Ms. Gerri Freedel

Hi! My name is Gerri Freedel and this will be my 9th year teaching at Baucom! I have been in the education field for over 20 years in many different roles. But, being an ELA teacher in 3rd grade has been one of my favorite experiences. I received my undergrad degree from Penn State University and my Masters from University of Maryland. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA; however, I have lived and worked in many states up the east coast. I currently live in Apex with my daughter, Ava, who is a senior at Apex Friendship HS. My son, Ethan, is making his way and living in Charlotte. Of course, I cannot forget my two sweet cats, Mister and Chonk. I look forward to another amazing year at Baucom!

Ms. Kayli Scott

Hi there! My name is Kayli Scott and this is my sixth year teaching third grade at Baucom. I was born and raised in Pittsboro, NC and graduated from Guilford College in 2020. I studied Elementary Education and Psychology and played on the softball team. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for five years and we have two dogs, Sadie and Maggie. I love to workout, read, do yoga, collect houseplants, and spend time with my friends and family. I also have a small business called Grades and Graze where I make charcuterie boards and teach workshops on how to make your own boards. It’s been so fun expanding my love of teaching in another creative outlet! I love to use song, dance, and games in my classes to help students learn, stay engaged, and have fun :) I’m excited for another great year in our amazing school!
