Meet our Principal!
Alicia Miller
I have been the proud principal of Lynn Road Elementary School since January 2024! It is with great excitement and a deep sense of purpose that I join a community that is clearly dedicated to the children it serves.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and began my PreK-12 education career teaching elementary students with disabilities and leading School Improvement. From there, I received my Masters in School Administration from East Carolina University and interned at Farmington Woods Elementary School. I have held various WCPSS Central Services positions, most recently as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
On a personal note, I cherish the time that I spend with my family and a genuinely special community of friends who feel like family. The recent loss of my mother has underscored for me the profound significance of relationships. When I am not walking the halls of Lynn Road, I enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee, watching Carolina basketball, traveling, or hiking one of our amazing National Parks.
I firmly believe that every student deserves to be challenged through meaningful learning experiences. Regardless of their background or circumstances, every child that walks through the doors of Lynn Road has incredible potential to learn, grow, and go on to astonish a watching world. Together, we will celebrate their learning journeys, both through failures and successes, knowing that these experiences ignite a true, life-long passion for learning.
I am committed to fostering a compassionate and inclusive community where every member feels like a valued, seen, and supported member of the Lynn Road family. Whether it’s in our local grocery store, carpool and bus loop, or in my office, please come say hello! The expertise you have with your children and the Lynn Road community is an invaluable resource to me.
