• Getting to know Hilburn Academy

Hilburn Academy is part of the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, North Carolina and is the district's only PreK-8 program. Hilburn is a member of the NC STEM Collaboration Network and applies the Engineering Design Process, project-based learning, and a technology-rich environment to create a 21st century learning campus. Students enage in the 4Cs (Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking) daily, apply learning with community partners from business alliances, and interact with the curriculum through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). A 21st Century skill-based curriculum, combined with an active PTA and the wonderful opportunities only possible with a comprehensive preK-8 program make Hilburn Academy a superior choice for families in North Raleigh.

As you review our website, you will read a lot of information that will help you get to know Hilburn Academy; however, we also offer open houses and tours in the Spring of each year to give you an up close and personal experience of our school. During these events, you will get an overview of our programs, take a tour of the school while it is in session, get a peek into our learning environments, and have opportunities to ask questions of our students and employees.
