    Dance - Ms. Lynn Atkins
     
     
    Ms. Atkins is a long time dance teacher in the state of North Carolina.  She was the 1991 NC Dance Educator of the Year and has written dance curriculum for DPI.  She is a mother of two daughters and a native of Charlotte NC.  
     
    Design Studio - Mrs. Jamie Livermore
     
     
    Mrs. Livermore has been teaching in WCPSS for 19 years.  She has two sons and three step-sons- so five adventurous boys- and a great husband.  Her favorite place to be when not in school is on the BEACH or talking her husband into renovating something!
     
    She knew she wanted to be a teacher at age 4 when her grandmother would let her "teach" her at a little "school" in her grandmother's guest bedroom! Her grandmother was her first student and is one of her greatest supporters! 
     
    She values and is honored to be a part of your child's educational journey "by design"!  Please let her know if you need anything!  She may not always have the "right" answer, but she is always willing to help, support, and gather additional resources as needed.

    Media - Mrs. Amanda Maddox
     
     
    Mrs. Maddox was born and raised in North Carolina. She has worked in education for 12 years. After spending 8 years as a classroom teacher, she decided to mesh her love for teaching and reading and obtain a Master of Library Science degree from Appalachian State University. She is thrilled to be the new Media Coordinator at Wendell Elementary.
     
    Mrs. Maddox enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, taking beach trips during the summer, and watching Duke Basketball.

    Visual Art - Mrs. Wendy York
     
     
    Mrs. York is a native of Falmouth, VA but has been in the Raleigh area since she attended Meredith College.  She loved playing basketball and studying art education at Meredith College.  She is married to a Wolfpacker and has two children.  Mrs. York shares her enthusiasm for the arts and looks forwards to many more years to teach and learn at WMES!!!!
