Hello everyone, my name is David Collins, and I am pleased to be part of the WMES community. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is my fourth year at WMES, and previously taught at Zebulon Elementary School. Before teaching I retired from the United States Air Force, and spent several years in “Corporate America”. I am originally from Medford, Oregon, and I am married with two adult sons. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, playing golf, drawing, and I am a big Las Vegas Raiders fan!  

My name is Lane Conde and this is my fifth year teaching at WMES! I live in Raleigh, but I love the Wendell community so much the commute is worth it! 

I live with my husband, Nick, and our 2 year old old son, Naeem. We recently welcomed our second son to the world, Banks, in September!

I enjoy being outside, hiking in the mountains, and swimming at the beach. I love True Crime, anime, and my favorite subject is science. 

Being an educator is a never ending learning process. I learn right along with my students. My philosophy for teaching is to always provide a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes classroom discourse.

My name is Sandy Morgan and this is my 26th year teaching. I have taught 7 years in Kindergarten, 10 years in First Grade, 4 years in Second Grade, and this is my 5th year in Fifth grade. I was born and raised in Wendell, NC and I went to Appalachian State University where I received a degree in Birth through Kindergarten. I later added Kindergarten through 6th grade while I was teaching at Spring Hope Elementary. I taught at Spring Hope for 12 years.  I taught at Carver for 9 years. This is my 4th year at Wendell. I have been married for 24 years.  I have 2 boys, 1 has his own Landscaping Business and 1 is in 9th grade.  I live on a farm with all different kinds of animals.  I love playing sports, reading mystery novels, and my favorite subject is Science.
