I am a Meredith College graduate with a degree in Child Development and also K-6  teaching certification.  I have taught at Wendell Elementary for 30 years and absolutely love the small town atmosphere and families that live here.  I have lived in Zebulon all of my life, but Wendell is definitely my second home.  My family is very important to me.  I am married to Tony and have two wonderful children, Evan and Lillie.  When I'm not at WMES, I enjoy spending time with my family and the beach and the mountains.  Teaching young children is such a joy to me and I love seeing children grow and learn every day. 

I am a Meredith College graduate with a degree in Psychology as well as my K-6 License to teach.  I also have my Academically and Intellectually Gifted License from UNC-C.  I have been teaching for over 20 years.  Wendell Elementary became my school family many years ago when our oldest started kindergarten.  My husband and I love all things Wendell and raising our 3 boys here.  In my spare time I love spending time at the beach, reading and most of all cheering my boys on in the sports they play.  Teaching is my dream come true and what I have known I wanted to do since I was a little girl.  All children have their own SMARTS and I love to nurture them!

My name is Mary-Craige "Craigie" Wells, and I am have been teaching for 25+ years. I am a graduate of Boston University with my K-6 teaching certification, as well as my National Board certification. I grew up in New York City and became a North Carolina Transplant in 1993. I currently live in Wilson with my husband. We are very fortunate to have our 3 sons, daughter-in-law, grandson, and several other family members that also live in the same town! 
 
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and laughing with my friends! Teaching gives me such joy and I love watching little minds growing in creativity and brilliance!

Hey everyone! My name is Cindy Hauer and I am an Instructional Assistant at WMES! I am so glad to be here! This is my 4th year in the public school system, and I absolutely love working with children! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 6 years and we have a one year old son! I also have an 11 year old chihuahua! I look forward to seeing you around WMES!!! 

My first experience with WMES was as a parent volunteer, which led me to become an instructional assistant — a role I have proudly held for over 17 years. I am a resident of Wendell, where I live with my husband. We have a daughter, a son, and a grand dog named
Bentley. 

In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and making memories with my family, especially while enjoying lake life. I truly enjoy helping learners grow and supporting them as they learn and succeed.
