Hello! My name is Marianne Horne, and I am excited to be joining Wendell Magnet Elementary, even though I’m not new to teaching. I’ve been in the classroom for 17 years. I am a proud graduate of Wake County Public Schools and UNC–Chapel Hill.

I currently live in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and I’m lucky to have my two grown sons nearby in Raleigh, along with much of my extended family. Outside of school, I’m a big hockey fan after years of cheering on my boys during their competitive seasons. In my free time, you’ll usually find me watching Carolina Hurricanes games or traveling to the beach to visit family.

I’m thrilled to be part of the Wendell community and to spend this year learning and growing with my second graders!

Hi! My name is Amanda Radford! I am originally from Destin, Florida.  I moved to North Carolina to go to UNC Chapel Hill and have been here ever since. I taught First Grade in Harnett County for three years before moving to WES. This is my eleventh year teaching and my third year in Second Grade. When I’m not at school, I love watching Carolina basketball games, running, and baking. I’m looking forward to a great year of learning!

Hello! My name is Ms. Trimble, and I am excited to be teaching second grade at Wendell Elementary. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Education, and an Education Specialist (EdS) degree. I have taught second grade for 6 years both in-person and online settings. I am passionate about creating a supportive, engaging classroom where students build strong foundations while developing confidence and a love for learning. I enjoy spending time with my children and visiting the beach in my free time.  I am so happy to be teaching at Wendell Elementary.
