Hello, everyone!

I am so excited to be a first grade teacher here at Oakview Elementary! It is simply OWLSOME! Growing up near Buffalo, New York I moved to North Carolina in 2000 (trying to escape the snow and cold weather)! My two cats and I are now enjoying the warmer weather here in the Raleigh area. 

This is my 23rd year of teaching! I have taught all but two years in 1st grade! I tried my hand at teaching a 3rd/4th grade combination class and 4th grade for a year. I am glad to be back in first grade! I love this age where students are learning to read and are excited as they discover new things. 

I am looking forward to an exciting 2022-2023 school year!
