Hi everyone! My name is Karin Edwards and I am very excited to be starting my 15th year teaching. I am a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut where I received my bachelors degree and loved watching the Huskies win lots of basketball games. Following graduation, I went on to complete my Masters in Education with a concentration in reading at University of St Joseph's. I spent 12 years teaching first grade in my home state of Massachusetts where I loved teaching reading and writing. While I wasn’t teaching I enjoyed cheering on the Red Sox and thePatriots. Four years ago our family traded snowstorms for sunshine and moved to Holly Springs. During this time, I have been teaching Pre-K at a private school in Cary and spending time exploring North Carolina with my husband and three daughters. I could not be happier to join this owlsome team at Oakview.
