How we manage surplus property
The Wake County Public School System regularly reviews equipment and materials. When items are no longer needed, we sell them to raise funds that support student learning and district programs. This process follows Article IX, Section 7 of the North Carolina Constitution, G.S. 115C-518, and G.S. 160A, Article 12.
How to buy surplus items
Anyone can participate in surplus sales. Items are listed online for public auction.
