• I just moved into the area is it too late to register?

It is never too late to register at any Wake County Public School. Your first step to enrollment is determining your base school and calendar options.  Visit New Student Enrollment for more information.

What calendar does Lynn Road follow?

Lynn Road elementary follows the Traditional Calendar

I just moved to the neighborhood from another Wake County public school and I would like to transfer, what should I do?

If you have recently moved to a new neighborhood and are not sure whether or not Lynn Road is your base school complete the following steps:

Verify Lynn Road is your base school - Base School Locator

Follow the guidelines suggested for the  School Transfer Request

*School transportation is not provided to students who receive an assignment based on a transfer request, unless the school is the base school or one of the calendar option schools for your address.

If I am transfering from out-of-state, do I need an NC state health assessment in order to register my child?

Yes. If you are moving from another state and do not yet have a family doctor in the state of North Carolina, have your Out-of-State doctor complete the North Carolina Health Assessment Transmittal Form.

What are the Lynn Road school hours?

School hours are from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.  The arrival bell rings at 8 am with a 5 minute warning bell at 8:25 am.  The instructional bell rings at 8:30 and students are considered tardy after this bell.  At 3:00pm the dismissal bell is rung.

How do I find out more about the before and after school program?

Join us at our Meet the Teacher, contact Mr. Bickelhaupt @ 919-870-4074 to learn more about Before and After Care at Lynn Road Elementary, or visit WCPSS Before and After Care  for more detailed information.

Can I receive transportation for my pre-kindergarten student?

Pre-Kindergarten students receiving transportation accommodation based on an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may require special transportation as a related service. All other transportation follows WCPSS Board of Education policy. Pre-K students can be assigned to a school bus if they are in Lynn Road's  base zone and transportation has been requested. Visit Bus Rider Registration for more information.

Does Lynn Road provide transportation to afterschool daycare facilities?

Students eligible for bus service are assigned to a stop based on their home address of record. Requests for before- or after-school care may be requested online. Families should go to www.wcpss.net/transportation and choose the form for Alternate Stop. Transportation will evaluate these requests to determine if the alternate stop fits on an existing bus route and that space is available on the bus. Approvals are valid for the current school year only. Before and After-school care stops located in the base attendance area may carry over from the previous school year for eligible bus riders.

Before or After-school providers who will pick up Lynn Road students should use the bus loop and NOT the carpool loop. Parents are to notify the assistant principal prior to this arrangement so that the appropriate procedures are followed.
