• About the READvolution Campaign

The Carolina Hurricanes' READvolution program will return for its third season beginning Sept 30. READvolution, which launched two seasons ago with the Wake County Public School System, is designed to increase child literacy amongst elementary school students. For the second straight season, READvolution will also include Chatham County Schools and Durham Public Schools, in addition to the Wake County Public School System.

Students will be able to login online to track their reading times and books read. Students who meet the goal of 800 minutes read over the eight-week period will receive two free tickets to a Hurricanes home game. Schools that reach the 2,020-book goal qualify for the chance to attend the Cool School Field Trip at PNC Arena. Last season, the READvolution program resulted in over 10 million minutes of reading and nearly 270,000 books read. This season, the program runs from Sept. 30 through Nov. 22.
