Hi!! My name is Wendy Baker, and I have been an educator for 36 years! I knew I would become a teacher at the age of seven. I used to help grade my dad's US History tests when he would come in late from football practice. My husband and I live in Pittsboro along with my 17-year-old daughter. My oldest daughter (who is also a teacher) lives in Emerald Isle with her husband and two precious boys.

My undergraduate degree in elementary education from UNCG. Several years into my teaching career I earned my Master's Degree in Gifted Education from Elon University. I have served as an AIG specialist for most of my career with a few years as a district coordinator.

My hobbies include reading, playing the piano and spending lots of time with my energetic grandsons. I am honored to be a part of LPES and can't wait to meet all of you!!
