    FOOD DRIVE UPDATE! 

    Way to go Sanderson Community!  Together we donated 2,450 pounds of food, $45,147.61 for a total meal count of 227,779!   

     

    SANDERSON THEATRE ENSEMBLE PRESENTS LITTLE WOMEN! 

    Come experience this beloved classic brought to life on stage!  

    • December 11, 12, 13 at 7:00 PM 

    • Sanderson Auditorium 

    Special performance: December 10 at 7:00 PM - $5 cash tickets at the door with WCPSS School ID.

    REMINDER: Bag Rules for ALL WCPSS High School Events 
    Spectators may be subject to bag checks. 

    Allowed: 

    • 1 clear bag (max 12" x 15" x 3") 

    • A Small, clear clutch bag/wristlet (max 4" x 6" x 1") 

    • Diaper bags & medically necessary bags 

    Not allowed: 

    • Backpacks, purses, duffle bags, fanny packs, etc. 

    Spectators may be subject to bag checks.

    ASVAB TEST 

    Sanderson's ASVAB test date is scheduled for December 16, 2025, at 9:00am in the career center.  Sign up is required. 

     

    ATTENDANCE POLICY REMINDERS 

    Arrival Check-In 
    Students arriving late or returning from appointments must check in at the attendance window with a note before going to class. 

    Early Check-Out Rules 

    • No walk-up checkouts between 1:45–2:18 PM. 

    • For planned early checkouts, students should bring a signed parent note to the attendance window between 7:00–7:25 AM. 

    • Phone calls or emails cannot be used for checkouts. 

    Absence Notes 
    Must be emailed to SHS-ATTENDANCE@WCPSS.NET within 2 days of return and include student name, ID, dates, reason, and parent contact info. 

     

    GOVERNOR’S PAGE PROGRAM 

    The Governor's Page Program is now accepting applications for 2026.  It's a week-long program that includes a $200 stipend.  Applications and information can be found here. The NC House and NC Senate page programs are not yet accepting applications for 2026. 

     

    12/1- 12/16: PROTECTING OUR STUDENTS CLASS PRESENTATIONS 

    Protecting Our Students, State Required presentations, will be presented to Sanderson students in December. Please read the parent letter and complete the Opt-out form on the second page of the letter, if you would not like your child to be a part of the presentation.  

     

    LOOKING TO HELP A SANDERSON STUDENT IN NEED DURING THE HOLIDAYS?  

    The Sanderson PTO will provide holiday assistance to Spartan families who are experiencing financial and housing difficulties through our Spartan Angel Tree Program. We are collecting monetary donations that the Sanderson High School student services team will use to purchase and distribute gift cards to these families before the holidays. You can help by donating at this link and by signing up to volunteer at the Holly Days Spartan Angel Tree table.
