SCHOOL WIDE UPDATES
TECH SERVICES MAINTENANCE
WCPSS Technology Services is performing maintenance on several servers beginning Saturday, December 14 at 8am. Students will experience service interruptions on December 14. All services are planned to be restored by Sunday, December 15 at 8AM.
JORDAN DRIVING REGISTRATION
Students and families can visit jordandriving.com starting on Dec. 18 to see the registration date for Sanderson. Registration will be on Jan. 6, 7 and 8. Learn more about Jordan Driving at Sanderson HS on our website.
SANDERSON HOLIDAY COAT/HOODIE DRIVE
Sanderson High School will be an official drop-off location for WRAL’s Coats for Children campaign and Sanderson’s first-ever hoodie drive! Sponsored by NC-939's Kitty Hawk Honor Society and the PTO, we invite you to donate gently used, clean coats, hoodies, hats, and gloves to help outfit children and teens in need—adult sizes are also welcome! Thousands of families benefit from the annual campaign, with the help of the Salvation Army, WRAL, and citizens like you.
Please bring your items to the drop boxes located in and around Sanderson. The drive ends on December 16th. Stay Warm and Classy Spartans!
EXPLORE AGRICULTURE IN IRELAND! SUMMER 2026
Students can travel to Ireland in the Summer of 2026 with Ms. Kwiatek! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Join the in-person information session on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 PM in room 107E to learn more about the tour and how you can be a part of it. Please RSVP for the info meeting.
CATALYST: STEM PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Open house Jan. 16 & 18 for Catalyst, a free program that serves high school students with disabilities interested in STEM careers. Eligible students are rising into grades 9-12, take general education courses, including Honors, AP, or Occupational Course of Study and have a documented disability, including an IEP or 504 Plan. This hands-on program teaches STEM, workforce, and college-readiness skills and facilitates paid STEM internships in NC State University Research and Engineering Labs. FOR MORE DETAILS, CLICK HERE.
SANDERSON FOOD PANTRY
We are excited to announce that the Sanderson Spartan Food Pantry is now open! Weekend Pantry Packs are available at no charge for Sanderson students, families, and staff. If you are in need of food items for the weekend, we want to help!REQUESTS: Complete the Google form. We can guarantee bags for Friday pick-up if requests are completed by noon on Thursdays. SENIOR FEES
All seniors are assessed at $30 fee to cover various costs associated with graduation (diploma cover, stoles, etc). Seniors must clear all fines/fees prior to graduation in January or June. Payments must be made through School Cash Online.

ANNUAL SPORTS PASS
The Annual Sports Pass sold by Sanderson Athletic Club permits entry into all regular season home athletic events for Fall, Winter, & Spring Sports Seasons. Buy your passes before September 15th to take advantage of last year’s pricing. Prices increase on September 16, 2024.
Pricing for 2024 – 2025 Annual Sports-Pass until September 15, 2024:-
$210.00 – Family Annual Sports Pack (2 Adults and up to 3 children in the same household, including student athletes)

REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION IN ATHLETICS
To participate in athletics students must have an updated physical (in the last year) and other paperwork. All paperwork must be uploaded to Dragonfly. Your physical form must be the WCPSS form not a generic physical form. Directions for dragonfly.
