My name is Julie Schultz. I love teaching the ECS class. My bachelor’s degree is in television and video production from Bowling Green State University in Ohio (where I grew up). I worked in the film industry in southern California for a few years before I discovered my passion for teaching. Then when I moved to NC in 2002, I got my teaching degree in special education. I spent 2018-2020 teaching English to preschool to 6th grade students in a rural mountain village in Haiti. I loved it but am happy to be back as a Laurel Park penguin. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, writing books and quilling.
