  • Returning Student Orientation

    Date: Tuesday, August 13th 

    Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    During our free-flowing session for returning students, you will be able to check your schedule in PowerSchool, walk the building, purchase school spirit wear, and visit the club fair. Juniors and Seniors who complete the parking application by August 5 can pick up their parking pass after attending one of the mandatory parking information sessions at 9:00am, 11:00am, or 1:00pm. Off-Campus lunch passes will also be available for pick up by Juniors and Seniors who have completed the application process. Parents can get involved by joining the “Big Four'' (PTSA, Gator Club, Band Boosters, FAB), registering as a parent volunteer, and learning about WCPSS’s visitor management system. 


    Freshman and New Student Orientation

    Date: Wednesday, August 14th

    Time: 9:00-11:00 AM (last names A-L), 1:00-3:00 PM (last names M-Z)

    New students with last names A-L will join us for the 9:00-11:00 AM session.  

    New Students with last names M-Z will join us for the 1:00-3:00 PM session. 

    Parents/guardians should attend with their child. Please park in the Student Parking Lot off Roberts Road next to the stadium.  Each session will begin with an opening presentation for students and families in the Auditorium, starting promptly at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Afterwards, students will join our GLHS Student Ambassadors for a guided campus tour and Q&A session. Parents will remain in the Auditorium for a Q&A session with Mrs. Summers (Principal) and Mrs. Roberts (Dean of Students). Once students and families reconnect, they are invited to visit the club fair, purchase school spirit wear, and check out the food trucks. Parents can get involved by joining the “Big Four” (PTSA, Gator Club, Band Boosters, FAB), registering as a parent volunteer, and learning about WCPSS’s visitor management system.
