This one-day event for ALL new students will take place the last week of July 2026.  Optional parent sessions will run in the morning and afternoon - more information will be shared early July.

Athletics

Summer conditioning will be held at Southeast Raleigh. Interested in playing sports? Please contact the SRHS Athletic Director Joseph Embree (jembree@wcpss.net).  Coach Embree will connect you with your coach/sport and provide team conditioning information so that you may start participating ASAP.

All athletes must register with Dragonfly for the 2026-2027 academic year to participate in summer conditioning.  It will become available early summer.  No athlete can participate in any out-of-season activities without valid physical and medical eligibility forms, according to NCHSAA.

Schedules

If you are coming from a non-WCPSS school, please contact our Dean of Students, Ms. Taylor (ttaylor5@wcpss.net) to get registered for classes.  All new students will get a copy of their schedule at Flight School.  Schedules will be posted in PowerSchool prior to school opening.

All schedule change requests will be made through an online form linked on the VMCCA home page and made available the second week of  August.

Swag

Please visit VMCCA’s PTSA sells a variety of  shirts, sweatshirts and VMCCA items.  They will be at the Future Student/Parent Night and Flight School.

Technology

WCPSS assigns all high school students a Chromebook which they will use while in high school.  We hope to have them in and disperse them at Flight School.
