Ms. Christy Lockridge
Track 1
Fourth Grade Teacher
Ms. Lockridge is in her fifth year of teaching full time at Turner Creek Elementary. She has taught 3rd and 4th grade at TCE. Before teaching she worked in Human Resources for many years in different roles. Ms. Lockridge loves working in fourth grade and is excited to start a new year and foster a challenging but fun learning environment for all students. Ms. Lockridge is originally from the Wake County area and lives with her husband Matthew, two daughters and two doggies Cooper and Teddy. Her eldest daughter will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall and her youngest daughter attends Apex High School. While not at school, Ms. Lockridge loves to walk her dogs, spend time with her family in North Carolina and South Carolina and travel! Ms. Lockridge is looking forward to a fantastic year!

Ms. Gracie Gartin
Track 1
Fourth Grade Teacher
Ms. Gartin is in her seventh year of education. She spent her first three years teaching in her home state of West Virginia. This is her fourth year at Turner Creek Elementary. She has taught third, Kindergarten, and fourth grade as an educator. Ms. Gartin has been nominated for the Stars Among Us Award, presented annually by Wake Ed Partnership. In addition to this nomination, Ms. Gartin has served within leadership across the two distinct districts she taught in. These leadership roles include serving as the vice president of the faculty senate, providing support to the technology team, and representing her school as the building representative for the West Virginia Education Association. She believes that education is one of the most important tools we are given in life and challenges students to meet high expectations while fostering a positive, safe environment.
Ms. Gartin lives in Garner with her husband, Ethan, and their two cats, McGee and Gandalf. In her free time, she loves to travel the world, coach Girls on the Run, read, and care for plants.

Ms. Nikki Stone-Houze

Track 2
Ms. Stone-Houze is a North Carolina native and lives in Durham County. She attended school at the University of Wilmington, North Carolina Central University, and the University of Phoenix. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. This year will make her 14th year teaching elementary school. Prior to that, she spent several years teaching preschool. She absolutely loves her job and is excited about teaching at Turner Creek Elementary School. Ms. Stone-Houze has a husband, two daughters, and a sweet pitbull mix named Duke. Outside of teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, reading, sketching, biking, and doing puzzles.

Ms. Katrina Schoch

Fourth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Katrina Schoch, a recent graduate, is embarking on her education career. Having taught third grade, she is eagerly stepping into the fourth grade for her second year at Turner Creek Elementary. Before her tenure in Wake County, she served as an interventionist in her hometown school district in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Schoch strives to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery. By connecting lessons to real-world experiences and encouraging active participation, she aims to cultivate lifelong learners prepared to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Mrs. Schoch believes creativity is a powerful tool for learning and strives to harness it in the classroom. She encourages students to explore their imaginations and take creative risks in their work. Through project-based learning, collaborative activities, and integrating technology and the arts, she strives to create a stimulating environment where creativity and critical thinking go hand in hand.
If Mrs.Schoch isn't at work, she's at home tending to her garden and flowers. She loves spending time outside with her husband and two dogs. Mrs. Schoch is a proud Italian who loves cooking and spending time with family. Additionally, she loves being creative and working on art projects in her free time.

Ms. Susan Hanson
Track 4
Fourth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Susan Hanson has been a devoted educator for over 24 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Auburn University in Elementary Education and her Master's from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in K-8 Mathematics. She is earning another Master’s in School Administration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and will graduate in the spring. She has been a math interventionist and WCPSS math coach and spent over 17 years as a 5th-grade classroom teacher! She is looking forward to her second year at TCES as a 4th-grade teacher, her dream grade level. Mrs. Hanson is married and has two sons. The oldest son is a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, and the youngest is a middle schooler at WCPSS! She is also a proud dog mom of two cute little corgis, Peaches, and Charlie Belle! On the weekends, Mrs. Hanson cheers on her middle school son’s NCFC soccer team. Mrs. Hanson is excited and looking forward to a wonderful school year!
