Hello! My name is Susan Gentry and I am so excited to be joining the Pleasant Grove Flyer Family this year!!!  I grew up in Columbia, Maryland and have lived in Raleigh for 23 years!  This will be my 20th year teaching and my 10th year teaching my favorite grade, kindergarten! I look forward to nurturing your young flyers' enthusiasm for learning and making new friends.  I have a Master of Education (with a focus on Reading Education) which I received from Meredith College in 2013.  My husband and I are adjusting to life as "empty nesters" but are lucky to have two of our  "big" kids in Raleigh and one whom we can visit in beautiful Michigan. Our two funny, furry cats get a lot of love and attention from us! I love to read, exercise, play tennis, visit the beach, travel, and spend time with family and friends.  I feel so fortunate to be your child's teacher and know it will be a great year together!
