How to share information!

WCPSS Board Policy 5210: Distribution and Display of Non-School Material

  • All material must be screened and approved by administration.
  • GLHS will not discriminate or screen for viewpoint, however, material may not:
    • Obscene or vulgar
    • Contain personal attacks or false statements against others
    • Defame a person's character, race, religion, ethnic origin, gender, family status, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
    • Causes or clearly threatens to cause a disruption of a school activity
    • Encourages unlawful acts or violation of school rules
    • Age Inapprioriate
    • Information that is inaccurate, misleading, or false
    • advertise products unavailable to minors
  • Distribution cannot interfere with instructional time.
  • Non-instructional publications must be clearly identified as such
  • Distribution of political campaign materials is prohibited.
  • Distribution of material is only permitted by "school-related" groups (GLHS approved organizations).
  • Green Level is proud of the work Clubs and Organizations are doing, both here and in the wider community. We want to provide ways for students to share this information with their peers! We are happy to share out information through the morning announcements, social media, hanging posters, or our digital displays! Students can submit information in one or more of the following ways:


Morning Announcements

  • Students and staff are allowed to submit morning announcements in the link below.

    Requirements:

    • Morning announcements must be received by 7:30am on the day they are to be read.
    • Must be no longer than 15 seconds.
    • Must be approved by administration.
    • May only be submitted by teachers, coaches, club advisors, and Category I or II student clubs.
    • May only be submitted by staff - students wishing to submit announcements must go through their staff advisor).
    • Adhere to the WCPSS Board Policy 5210 (listed above).

Posters

  • Students wishing to hang posters on campus must submit them for approval. Posters can be submitted to the front office for approval. Administration will make every attempt to approve them as quickly as possible, however please allow up to 3 days for approval.

    Poster expectations:

    • Must adhere to WCPSS Board Policy 5210
    • Due to limited space, administration will only approve 10 posters.
    • Each one must be stamped and dated in order to be posted.
    • Posters may stay up for 30 days. After this time they must be removed or they will be thrown away.
    • Posters must be tacked onto a cork surface. They MAY NOT BE TAPED TO WALLS.
    • Any poster taped to a wall will immediately be removed and thrown away.

Digital Announcements

  • We want to provide room for clubs to share information on the digital displays (TV's). Due to the number of clubs, we are unable to broadcast interest meetings. We will display information about special activities, fundraisers, or service projects.
