    Meet The Team

    Chris Curley | ccurley@wcpss.net

    Mr. Curley is originally from a little town in upstate New York called Madrid. He is married to his wife, Lindsey, and together they have three daughters, Ava, Addison, and Andie. They also have a chocolate lab named, Jersey, and a black lab named, Brew. He went to the State University of New York at Cortland where he played four years of hockey and achieved his BS in Health Education. Mr. Curley attended the State University of New York at Potsdam and earned his MST in Childhood Education. Mr. Curley's favorite sports teams are the New Jersey Devils, New York Giants, and the New York Mets. He enjoys going to concerts, traveling with his wife, hanging out with the girls, playing hockey and the drums, and wood working projects.

    Mrs. Douds is a native of North Carolina. She is married to Dennis Douds, a graduate of the University of North Carolina. They have one child, Donald James (DJ), who was named after both grandfathers and great-grandfathers. DJ is a sophomore at The University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks! Mrs. Douds likes spending time on the beach while listening to Classic Rock and 80's music and reading the latest Harlan Coben or James Patterson thriller. She is a huge college football fan. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia and Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

    Mrs. Stacy is a teacher at Weatherstone and loves her job! She graduated from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls) and lived in Florida for 25 years. She does not like the cold winters of North Carolina. Mrs. Stacy is married to Steve and they have a teenage daughter, Sophie. They also have a fur baby named Indiana Jones. As a family, they love to go to the beach, travel the world, go to concerts and spend time with their friends and family. I look forward to an amazing school year.

    Mrs. Brose: Not a native North Carolinian, she was raised in Texas where she graduated from the University of North Texas and then, flew the coop, to live in NYC where she met her German husband and ended up moving to Germany. They lived in and around Frankfurt, Germany for 17 years where she taught at various international schools. They have 3 daughters - Ella (@UNC), Hannah (@App State), and Sarah (@App State) all who were born and began school in Frankfurt. She LOVES camping, traveling, movies, and hanging with friends and family. Also, she is really enjoying getting to know so many new and interesting students and parents.

    Mrs. Harris has a true passion to inspire young minds and help create lifelong learners. She is originally from Queens, New York and relocated to Cary with her husband, son, Aiden, who is a 5th grader at Weatherstone and daughter, Riley who is in high school.  In her spare time, Mrs. Harris loves spend time at the beach with family, shop, read and play with her mini goldendoodle puppy, Blue.. Before teaching at Weatherstone, Mrs. Harris spent many years teaching in New York City. She studied Early Childhood Education at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Touro College in Manhattan. She comes to school every day excited to teach and eager to learn from her students as well.
