    • The Horatio Alger Association’s Career & Technical Scholarship is designed for individuals who have faced and overcome significant adversity and are working toward a career or technical education certificate or degree. 
    • This need-based award recognizes those who demonstrate integrity, perseverance, and a strong commitment to building a successful future through career-focused training.
    • Eligible individuals with financial need who are enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a career or technical program at a not-for-profit institution should consider applying.

  • Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH)

    Who is eligible?

    • Meet the basic eligibility criteria for the federal student aid programs.
    • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), although demonstration of financial need is not required.
    • Be enrolled as an undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, or graduate student at a school that participates in the TEACH Grant Program.
    • Be enrolled in a TEACH-Grant-eligible program.
    • Meet certain academic achievement requirements (generally, scoring above the 75th percentile on one or more portions of a college admissions test or maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25).
    • For specific information about the academic requirements, talk to the financial aid office at your college or career school.
    • Receive TEACH Grant counseling that explains the terms and conditions of the TEACH Grant service obligation. You must complete counseling each year that you receive a TEACH Grant.
    • Sign a TEACH Grant Agreement to Serve.

  • Big Future Scholarships - Monthly

    Who is eligible?

    • Earn entries in monthly drawings for $500 and $40,000 scholarships by completing the six qualifying steps on BigFuture. If you don’t win, your entry rolls over for the next month. 
    • Students whose families earn less than $60,000 a year have more chances to earn scholarships.
