Madeline Allred, Instructional Assistant

Miss Allred was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Miss. Allred went to Sanderson High School and then attended Meredith College, where she studied Psychology and Communications. During her time at Meredith, she ran cross country and track and was Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Meredith College is where Miss. Allred found her love for Applied Behavior Analysis. She worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for 2 and half years at two different clinics after college. In her free time, Miss. Allred enjoys going to local coffee shops, spending time with friends, going on walks/runs, and going to NC State football games. Miss. Allred is excited to join the Root Family.

Ashley Jennings, Instructional Assistant

Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, Mrs. Jennings graduated from Edinburgh University with a B. Ed. in Elementary Education. She taught K1-5 for 9 years in Scotland and England, and has experience of being a coordinator of various subjects, including Math, Literacy and P.E.  Mrs. Jennings then became Literacy coordinator for the East Riding of Yorkshire before  accepting an administrative role.
Upon moving stateside, she worked as a substitute teacher and then a Pre-K teacher for 10 years. The highlight of Mrs. Jennings' career has, of course, been working at Root as an IA and Receptionist for the past 6 years!
Mrs. Jennings and her husband enjoy spending time with their 2 children, Lewis and Isla, as well as their hyper Border Collie, Theo! Whenever possible, they like to travel between the beach, the mountains, and Bonnie Scotland!

Ryan Joyce, OT

Hi, I’m Ryan Joyce.  My hometown is Madison, NC.  I have an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Communications Studies from UNC Chapel Hill.  After taking a year off and working for the Autism Society of North Carolina, I moved to Charleston, SC to complete my Masters in Occupational Therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina.  I finished my program with a pediatric clinic rotation in the Dallas, TX area.  After this, I decided to move back closer to home and settle in the Raleigh area.  I have been a school-based OT since 2018.  I serve students from PreK-High school at numerous schools within the 440 beltline.  I enjoy traveling, eating, and spending time with family, friends and my dog, Fenway.

Cindy Linton, ESL

My name is Cindy Linton, and I am excited to teach ESL at Root! I received my B.S. degree in Computer Science from East Carolina University and my Master of Computer Science degree from the University of Virginia. I was a Programmer and Systems Engineer at IBM for ten years before deciding to pursue a career in education. I have taught technology classes at the College of Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University, and Wake Technical Community College. I earned my Master of Education degree from North Carolina State University in 2007.  Before coming to Root, I taught ESL, Intervention and English Literacy at Stough Elementary School for thirteen years. Prior to that, I taught ESL at Centennial Campus Middle School for six years. I have been a National Board-Certified Teacher since 2009. I am married and have two sons and a dog.

Jordan Raible, CCR

Miss. Raible was born and raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She attended Slippery Rock University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood (PreK-4) and Special Education (K-12). After graduating this past May, Miss. Raible decided to move out of Pennsylvania to start her education career in Raleigh. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, going to the beach, exercising, and most importantly, playing with her two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers Chester and Taz! Miss. Raible is excited to have a great school year!

Lynn Reynolds, Speech Pathology

As a Wake County Public Schools Speech Language Therapist I support students at both Root Elementary School and J.Y. Joyner Elementary School. My undergraduate degree was completed at Appalachian State University. I received my Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hold a North Carolina License in the area of Speech and Language Pathology and have received my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing and Language Association. My work experience includes public school, private practice, hospital, and assisted living therapies. I feel fortunate to work at this incredible school and to be a part of the Root Family!

My husband and I are the proud parents of two beautiful children and one sweet greyhound. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, knitting, and of course going out to dinner :)
