Morning Arrival
General Arrival Information:
School hours are 9:15 AM- 3:45 PM. School opens at 8:45 AM, when students may report to their classrooms. Students may not be dropped off at school before 8:45 AM unless they are enrolled and participate in the Before School Program. Students who are not enrolled in the Before School program should remain in their cars with their parents until 8:45 AM.Students who ride buses will begin to enter the school at 8:45 AM. Breakfast starts at 8:45 AM. Students should be seated in their classrooms by 9:10 AM to be ready to learn. Students who arrive after 9:15 AM are tardy. After 9:15 AM parents should bring their child to the office to check in and receive an admittance slip. Late arrival puts your child at a disadvantage because they miss classroom instruction. Teachers lose time from scheduled learning activities when they stop to repeat instructions for children who are late. We appreciate your efforts in ensuring that your child arrives at school on time.

Afternoon Dismissal
General Dismissal Information:
School dismisses at 3:45 PM. Unless we receive written instructions from you to the contrary, we will always send a child home his/her usual way. Any transportation changes must be requested in writing by a parent or legal guardian. Please send these notes in with your child in the morning. If you have an emergency transportation change that you can't request in writing, please call the school office prior to 2:30 PM so we can notify your child's teacher. Do not send an e-mail to the teacher during the school day to request a transportation change. He or she might not read your email until after dismissal. If a student is to be picked up by someone other than the parent, please send a note to the teacher with your child in the morning stating who will pick your child up. For your child's safety, if we are not familiar with the person who you send to pick up your child, we will ask for identification. Please note:- If you find it necessary to check your child out of school early, please do so before 3:15 PM. Because of the large number of students we have preparing for dismissal each day we are unable to accommodate requests for early check-out after 3:15 PM. You must show a photo id when you arrive to check your child out of school. For the safety of all our students, our office staff will ask to see an id before releasing a child to anyone.
- Picking up in the carpool lane: Please have your carpool number on display in your car. Stay single file in the right lane and proceed to the designated pick-up area. Be courteous, follow the directions of adults on duty, and do not attempt to drive around or pass cars.
- Picking up by older siblings: In order for an older sibling to pick a child up from school, he or she must be older than 14, have a photo ID, and must be listed on your child's locator card as having permission to pick up your child.
We are unable to accommodate requests from parents to have their child ride a bus home with another student. We cannot send children home on buses other than the one to which they are assigned. They can’t take the bus home “with a friend.” If a child is going to another student’s home after school, they must carpool and we must have written permission from both parents in order to accommodate the request.
