Ms. Kittner
Hello! My name is Kaylie Kittner, and I am the school psychologist at Yates Mill. After 7 years working for a school district in Eastern NC, I returned to my WCPSS roots in 2022. I'm a Raleigh native and a proud WCPSS alum. In undergrad, I majored in Psychology at Appalachian State University and stayed at Appalachian State to study School Psychology in grad school. The mountains are my happy place—besides Yates Mill, of course!
School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. We apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
