Ms. Garbarino
Hello! My name is Krysta Garbarino, and I am thrilled to be joining Yates Mill as one of the school counselors. I am a Raleigh native and a proud WCPSS alum. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from Denison University and my Master’s Degree from Appalachian State University. This current year, 24-25, will be my third year as a school counselor and my first at Yates Mill!
As a school counselor, I help students achieve academic, social-emotional, and post-secondary success. I work together with students to recognize their strengths, and draw upon those strengths to be the best version of themselves. School counseling includes classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, or individual counseling. Students and parents are encouraged to reach out at any time to discuss concerns.
When I am not at school, I love to read, specifically historical fiction or thriller novels, attend classes at Burn Boot Camp, take walks with my partner, Colin, and my dog, Archie, and spend time with friends and family.
