My name is Robiane Morgan. I am excited about my new position as the  School Counselor at YMES Elementary. I am a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.  I received my Masters in School Counseling from Liberty University.

I have been married to my college sweetheart for 17 years, the wonderful Michael Morgan.  We have two beautiful amazing daughters, Kennedi and Kelli. Both girls will be joining the YMES Dreamers as a fourth and third grader. 

My goal is to provide a school-wide counseling program that will offer services as an additional resource to help our students succeed with their academic goals, as well as social and emotional growth throughout the school year.  Counseling sessions in a school setting are typically short-term in nature and focus on solutions to help students succeed in all areas of their development.

Counseling activities can include individual or group counseling, whole-class presentations, observations, and pre-career visions.  Many of these activities will focus on helping students learn ways to build positive social skills, gain confidence in their ability to interact with others, and learn ways to deal with problems and conflicts constructively.  

When I’m not at school, I love having family game nights; traveling, gathering with our friends and loved ones. I am also a pretty busy Girl Scout mom of my two Brownies. We are always planning GS outings and volunteer experiences.
