Welcome to Laurel Park! My name is Teresa Sherer, and I am a Track 3 instructional assistant in 1st grade.

I hold a Liberal Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduating, I realized I wanted to become a teacher—better late than never! Two years later, I earned my Elementary Education degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham. I have taught 3rd grade for one year and 1st grade for eleven years. I am so glad to be working at Laurel Park Elementary School, where both of my daughters attended.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. I also love cooking, reading, working out, and shopping at thrift and consignment stores. As a child, one of my favorite activities was going to school, and it still is! That's why I became a teacher.
