Welcome to Laurel Park! My name is Teresa Sherer. I am a track 3 instructional assistant in kindergarten. I work with Mrs. Millsaps (6 years), who taught both of my daughters when they were in kindergarten (pretty cool). Kindergarten is the best! I know you will enjoy kindergarten as much as I do!

I have a Liberal Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After I graduated, I knew that I wanted to become a teacher (better late, than never). I received my Elementary Education degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham. I have taught third grade (1 year) and first grade (11 years). I am so glad to be working here at Laurel Park Elementary School.

I love spending time with my husband and two daughters. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and shopping at thrift/consignment stores. When I was a child one of my favorite things was going to school. It still is, and that is why I became a teacher.
