Welcome! My name is Sara Nichols and I teach third grade. I am originally from Buffalo, New York, but have lived in North Carolina since 2006. I have degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Literacy all from the State University of New York at Geneseo. I also have my National Board Certification. I have been teaching at Laurel Park since it opened in 2008. I have taught first, second, and third grades, plus reading and special education. Teaching is my passion and I am excited to come to work each and every day!

I live in New Hill with my husband Justin, our three kids, and our sheepdadoodle named Wally. We love to play board games and go to museums as a family. In my spare time I like to read, craft, and bake. I am a huge Buffalo Bills fan and love to watch football. I love being a Laurel Park Penguin and am excited to start our third grade journey together!
