My name is Amy Hawkins, and I am the School Psychologist for Laurel Park. I currently serve two schools in Wake County, Laurel Park Elementary and Middle Creek High School. I received my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and German from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. I then received my master’s and Doctorate degrees in Psychology from NC State University. I have previously conducted research and have taught at the University level. I have been a school psychologist for more the 10 years and have worked in school districts in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
I am originally from Bethlehem, PA but then lived in Rochester, NY before moving to North Carolina. I am married and have two children, ages 13 and 10. I love to travel and experience other places around the world. I also enjoy reading, gardening, and baking.
