My name is April Butler, and I am thrilled to be one of the 2nd grade teachers at Laurel Park Elementary this year. I hold a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology from Appalachian State University. In 2004, I achieved National Board Certification which I continue to maintain.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have two children: my daughter, Morgan, who is following in my footsteps as a first grade teacher, and my son, Cooper, who is gearing up for his senior year at Apex High School. Our family also includes two dogs, Jenny and Charlie. We love staying active with sports and outdoor adventures.

I am looking forward to another fantastic year of learning and growth with our amazing students. Let's make this year the best one yet!
