Ms. Rochester
I am Francine Rochester, who hails from the island paradise of Jamaica. I see myself as dedicated, committed, passionate, a defender against all forms of injustice, a go-getter and trendsetter. I was nurtured in an environment of care and love where honesty, truth and sincerity were daily requirements for living. Education was never optional and so I developed a passion for learning which later expanded to include teaching.
Seeing children succeed, improve the quality of life not just for themselves but their entire families bring with it a kind of joy and fulfilment that other kinds of rewards rarely bring. My journey as a trained educator began in 2003. Through participation in various training courses, I have attained a Diploma in Primary Education from St. Josephs's Teacher College, Jamaica, Bachelor of Education in Primary Education from Catholic College of Mandeville Jamaica; Masters in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University of Minnesota; Completed the Aspiring Principals Course run by the National College of Education Leadership & UWI, Jamaica and a Doctorate in Counselling from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Georgia.
I became a part of the Flyer Family in August 2023, where I served Fifth Grade as a Math and Science Teacher and am currently assigned to Second Grade as Grade Chair.
