Erika Botfeld, Art
Hello! My name is Erika Botfeld, and I’m thrilled to teach Art here at Jeffreys Grove! To give you a little background, our family moved to Raleigh from Tampa in 2020. We have two daughters, ages 16 and 19. Our youngest is a student at Broughton High School and our oldest is a Fashion major at Savannah College of Art and Design. I hold a BA in Visual Communication from the University of South Florida (‘95) and prior to teaching worked as an art director/graphic designer in the advertising industry. In addition, I also owned and operated my own photography business for 15 years, specializing in photographing newborns, children, families, food, real estate, corporate headshots, and large events. I love to cook, travel, and develop my own art in my spare time.

Christine McIvor, Music
Hello! I’m Mrs. McIvor, and I absolutely love making music with the students at JGES!
I am originally from New Hampshire and have lived in NC for 17 years. This is my 5th year teaching at JG and my 14th year teaching overall. Before coming to JGES, I spent 10 years teaching music and band at a K-8 charter school in Greensboro. My main instrument is the clarinet, but I also play the ukulele and piano. I especially enjoy teaching ukulele to our students!
I live in Raleigh with my husband, who is also a musician, and our three children, two of whom are JG Eagles. We have two dogs, Cash and Sonny, and a cat named Dizzy. When I’m not making music or teaching, I enjoy distance running and traveling
