I was born in Raleigh, NC and even attended JGES as a child! I’ve spent many years in education in various roles from high school English teacher to preschool teacher as well as manager of new teacher certification at a school district in TX. My husband and I have four children including three current JGES students. 

Hi! I am Heather Smith Franks and I am the Data Manager at Jeffreys Grove. I have worked in WCPSS for 17 years in numerous roles. I am originally from Western NY, but I grew up in Eastern NC. I have lived in Raleighwood since 2000. I have 2 children; my daughter is an adult, and my son is in high school. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, making memories with lots of laughter. Hanging at the beach, listening to live music or supporting my ECU Pirates are some of my favorite things to do in my free time. 

My name is Katie Miller and it's an honor to be a part of the Jeffreys Grove family as your receptionist! I am originally from North Carolina.  However, up until now, I've only spent my adult life living in New York and Washington, DC. Most of my career background consists of 30+ years working in the legal industry between two major law firms as an Administrative Secretary. Before moving back to North Carolina, I was employed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, as an Administrative Specialist in the Circuit Executive's office.
