NC Triangle Apprentice Program
Starting in the 11th grade, students have the opportunity to explore and apply for this 4-year program. NCTAP allows students to gain valuable experience and earn an Associate’s of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Wake Tech Community College while earning an hourly wage and free tuition. NCTAP is the Other Four Year Degree.

CTE Course Articulation (WTCC Credit)
Students at GMHS have the Opportunity to Earn Community College Credit in certain Career and Technical Education (CTE) Courses which Can be Transferred to the University Level when leaving WTCC.
Earn Wake Tech Credit In GMHS CTE Courses
The local Course Articulation Agreement between Wake County Public Schools and Wake Tech Community College allows students to earn community college credit in their high school CTE classes.Local Articulation Agreement
To earn the community college credit for the CTE courses the student must- Earn a Grade of B or higher in the course.
- Earn a scaled Score of A on the CTE post assessment provided by NCDPI.
- Students must Enroll at Wake Tech within Two Years of their high school graduation date.
- The student’s official high school transcript must include the CTE post-assessment scores.
- Credit is not automatically awarded, students must visit the Registrar’s Office at Wake Tech to request the credit be applied toward their Wake Tech record.

Below are the Steps to Apply for the Credit at WTCC. You will need:- Verification of Final Grade and Exam Grade for the Course. (Report Card or Unofficial Transcript)
- Print out of the CTE Course Articulation PDF below and highlight the courses that you have earned credit
- Take all this information to the Transcript Evaluation team at WTCC - 9101 Fayetteville Rd Raleigh, NC. Main Campus in Student Services Building for Transcript Evaluation - Room SSB-243.

Internship
Internships offer the opportunity to gain work experience and explore a career field of interest.
A high school internship is an elective class that can be chosen at the time of registration. An internships allows the student to learn about a career path, engage in real-world activities, explore a career field of interest and gain job readiness skills that are not found in the classroom.
